The U S Army now has a blue service uniform. What will they do with all of the green surplus uniforms?

The market will be limited, as Army-Navy stores can only take so much, and the green uniforms are ugly and outdated. However, the green "office" shirt is a comfortable mechanics / shop shirt.
Additional Details
The question behind my question is does anyone think that they might be sold or donated for issue to foreign troops? Nothing wrong with that, even if troops are our enemy. Just curious.

They will go to property disposal operations, some will be bought up by surplus dealers, and it is possible that some foreign governments could buy them.

Since the wear out date is 2014, they will produce fewer new ones every year until then, so the stock, though huge, will start to dwindle after a few years.

You'll start to see the old service uniforms in surplus stores. Trust me, even tho the store will have 1,000 of them in stock, theyll still charge you an arm and a leg!

It's official: I'm old. I remember when the Army wore Khaki and sailors wore blue.

I think they should still use them. What I mean by that is , make the soldiers that are in training wear them. That way it would be harder for them to go AWOL. It would look odd to see someone off post in green BDU's. Then when they graduate they turn in the greens and get the ACU's.

The fact is most of the soldiers (not just the ones in the Pentagon) like the green uniform. Some units haven't changed, like the Special Forces and Rangers. We are all hoping General Dempsey will change the uniform back to the greens and keep the blues for ceremonial and formal occassions, as it was before. And loose the black beret. The only troops that should be in berets are the Special Forces (green), Rangers (give them back the black), and possibly the Airborne (Red).

I don't know where you got your intell but the vast majority of the Army hates the green uniform. It was proven in the Army Times and the Army's own polling data. The blues won out over the greens and whites. The idea of multiple dress uniforms has past. Their is no longer a need for a green uniform since nearly all Soldiers wear ACU's in garrison and office work. The only time you wear you greens is special occasions anyway. That's where the blue uniform comes in. It's traditional the Army's uniform, and looks sharp! As for SF and Rangers, the convetional US Army is bigger than the spec ops community and makes the call. The SF and Rangers don't make the calls, mother Army does! As for berets, keep em in spec ops. The Airborne are not elite so they can lose theirs as well!
