The Brits in this case are not pirates they were ceded this land by spain. They have held and defended this land ever since and the population is entirely British so they have no interest in learning portugese. So I doubt they will ever give up the Falklands as the local population won't let them. The question I have for you other than pride why do you want these Islands? They have nothing but sheep farmers and fishermen.

While I agree with you in principle that's it's nonsense for Britain to be occupying a territory that is just off the Argentinian coast, there is the problem of the islanders.

The people who live in the Falklands/Malvinas see themselves as British and don't want to be part of Argentina.

If I were Argentinian I would just let them get on with it. It looks like a really dreary and depressing place.

It beats me why anyone would want to fight over it.

For the uninformed Leopoldo Galtieri was the Dictator of Argentina who took the Falklands. Then Margaret Thatcher told him to give them back, he said no, She steamed a fleet down there and took them. He got his two weeks notice and still messed it all up.
