the reason Northern Island is still British is because of a democratic process i believe there has been 3 referendums Join the South or stay British and out of a population of about 3 million
1 Million Roman Catholics and about 2 million Anglican Catholics the vote was 2 to 1 to stay British
reason the anglicans would become second class citizens be out of work and be Victimised
remember the IRA were placing bombs in the UK in its Major Air raid shelters where the British were sheltering from NAZI bombs
the Southern Irish believed That if the UK fell they would be treated fairly as a neutral country Just like Norway Denmark WW2 ????
they seam to forget german Concentration camps were full of Roman catholic priests
It is my opinion this question of Unity should only be mentioned again when the People of northern island feel the time is Right and the South has grown up the UK has prospered since Henry V111 Very Little Religious Bigotry
