its amazing at the answers you get here from people who dont know what they are talking about..

in the usmc no females can be snipers because it is an infantry or combat MOS..you cant be a sniper in the usmc.

and yes i think in the future females will be allowed to be snipers, but not today

Of course, but the question is when.

Do you think they thought women could be strippers, or voters or even in the military? Times change. People change. Underwear changes. People change underwear all the time.

Besides, it is proven that women don't pump as much adrenalin as men it those situations, causing for steadier aim. Whether or not they are mentally up for murder is harder to conceive. Men are natural born killers using the more violent measures. That is why murders that occur with blunt force trauma, head injuries, decapitation or other violent manual methods are usually attributed to the male suspects. Lizzy Border being the notable exception, most serial killers are male.

And that's what snipers are. Murderers, except labeled legal because it's for the good of the cause.

USAF Security Forces is currently the only military job where women can and are "sniper trained".

but in WWII, there was a female sniper, and she was actually one of the best snipers ever, not the best, but one of the rest.
she was czech, but served for the soviets.

and , in the air force, in security forces, once you have served a while, you can apply to be sniper, even as a female.

but for female snipers, going out into war combat, i am sorry, i do not think it will happene anytime soon. but you can become air force sniper, or a police sniper in the civ world.

Your wrong, i think guys are cut out to do the job, Its harder for guys to be emotional than girls, ESPECIALLY if your a sniper. Of course im a guy but ya.

I am a US Army Vet and yes the Marines do allow females. Boot camp for female Marines is a lot harder than boot camp for the other military branches.

Are you being serious. I'm a Female Marine. There are 10-15,000 of us in the Marine Corps where in the heck did you get your info from, whoever it was is dumb!

I have been an active duty Marine since 01.

You will need to start with somehting else because women are not allowed in combat units. Supply/Accounting is a good place for you as a female to start. That is what I started in, and then within a year and a half I was incharge of the entire base in NC Ammunition. I also am an expert shot with the M16 (that is the rifle you will qualify with every year, and got offered a spot on the Marine Corps Rifle team. But us women Marines are the Fewer and the Prouder!!! So you could do something like that, join the Rifle Team.

last time i heard they alowed women in the marines. so you ahve a chance, but sniper school is hard to get in to and harder to graduate from

Why not? Woman are just as capable as men in the shooting department. It might be a long stretch from the army but my sister Sarah hunts with my Dad and I and she's a better shot and I've been hunting ever since I was 8 :S Also, I am 99.9 percent sure that they allow woman into the marines, If I'm wrong, then obviously something should be done about it.
