I am a 20 year old woman, currently in college and I was thinking about joining the air force. I have just started to feel like I want to do something meaningful and make a difference. I am scared of basic tho but I have heard its not too bad in the air force. The other problem I have is that i have glaucoma and my eye sight is pretty bad. I was wondering if I could get into the Air Force?

Air Force BMT actually is tough or challenging. Service people have this branch rivalry immature game they play, which will make you think our military or certain branches of our military is easy. ~Good Luck |

You'd be fine in the air force. You'd discover things that you could do that you never thought you could ever do. If you want to do something good in your life, do it. Ask anyone who serves in the AF, i guarantee they'll say they love it. Trust me. |

I don't know about the eyesight. But ignore the first post, the Air Force is a good life. Depending on your job you can finish college while your on active duty. The college credits you have will also help towards your rank. Basic training is meant to be tough, but after it is over you will be proud that you stuck through it. |

Why? There are too many people that die there everyday! Are you sure you can handle it? No, I don't think that you're the proper candidate for the Air Force. Go to military school first, and see if you'd really enjoy being in the army. Please think this over, since it is a big decision. Talk to your mom and dad, to see if they'd want you to go. I don't think it is too good for you to have bad eyesight in the military, or glaucoma. So, no, please don't go into the Air Force. |
