This time I got a 47 on my afqt?

Right now I am currently getting into the army or trying to. I dont have a high school diploma or a GED so I am looking towards the education program where the army helps you get the GED. The first time I took the test I got a 29 the recruiter told me if i get into the upper 40s then he can help me get in. I got a 47 can he help me really get in? I am also going to have to workout some since I need to lose some weight another recruiter said he will give me something tomorrow so that it helps me lose weight.

IF you need to lose weight, the recruiter who gave you the ASVAB has in a sense tested you Illegally.
As per regs, you have to be tentatively qualified to join prior to offering you to take the ASVAB. Because the recruiters weigh each candidate, it was know from the start that you are DisQualified and should not have tested you.
Each ASVAB test costs money. That recruiter has just wasted government money on someone who is not even qualified.
What is that other recruiter going to give you? Hopefully only some advice or coaching on losing the wight. |

Congrats on the improved ASVAB. You shouldn't have trouble getting in with that score. There are some jobs that still require higher scores than that, but you may not have wanted those jobs anyhow. And if the job you want requires higher, you can still retake it as many times as you want anyhow
Careful taking some kind of "miracle weight loss" whatever it is.... Sure, it's possible to shed 10 pounds in a day, but if you, it was 10 pounds of water weight. Your body is dehydrated, and needs that water back the next time you drink anything.
Eat right, burn more calories through exercise than you take in.... you won't lose weight as quick as you hoped for, but it will stay off. And your body will actually be healthy and stronger for it. |
