Have we noticed? Of course we have, it is called WAR!!! The 3500 deaths are our country's heros. Men and Woman who chose to defend. They were trained, but training does NOT stop IEDs, bullets, or other weapons. Reason for their ages is because most soldiers are 18-25. As to the "Dieing for no reason", ask the people who's lives they have change for the better.

Boo, hoo. So a lot of guys die. You know what? Young guys die every day in this country. Do you shed a tear when 15,000 young men lose their lives in criminal activities every year? Does it make you want to march on Washington when another 14-20 yo dies of a drug overdose everynight while you are eating dinner?

Men and women who risk their lives in war are dying for a reason. They fight and die for each other, for their country and so that the oppressed might be free. 99% of those who have been to Iraq and Afghanistan did not die. AND not all of the dead are boys. Many are reservist my age.

Every man dies. Not many die for so noble a purpose.

The reason these men and women are so young is because a 50 year old guy can't join the Army. They WANT young soliders because they are physically more capable of fighting a war. I don't agree with the war myself, but I also don't think that having a military full of geezers will protect our country if we really needed to go to war. It is horrible that people would have to die like that so young, but even if they are young, they are ADULTS. They can legally choose to be in the service and I know that when I was 18, I was capable of making adult decisions on my own. I would think the same would go for a 24-25 year old solidier.

Hey Dippy...I take offense to your question...it is obvious you have never served a day in your life...I hate how people like you and your Liberal buddies use my brothers and sisters as a "Talking Point"...where were you when Clinton sent us to places we never should have been, and under paid and took benefits from the military...oh yea, I fogot Bill was the man...

We train for war, that is all we do...when a soldier is sent to combat they are well trained...and when things arise, such as IEDs, they are then trained for that too...there is no such thing as a bloodless war, never has been, never will be...in combat people die...I have seen people die and I have killed people...but it is all part of the job...when you join you know that sometime you may go to war...I joined in 91 and saw combat as a Medic in Somalia...people died there, and it wasn't even a real war (I was also in Bosnia, Haiti, and Kosovo and people died there too)...all the military has done since the end of Viet Nam is trained for war...in combat units you do that weekly...or at least monthly...if you joined the Army and thought it was to sell cookies and sit in a circle and sing song, then you should have joined the Girl Scouts...we all know that the job of the Military is to fight and win wars, and if needed die...we as NCOs take care of our soldiers, it breaks our heart for one of our "Troops" to die, but it happens...and you use them to forward your agenda...that is a shame

You left winged idiots are so stupid and full of propaganda it makes me laugh. First of all, most of the men are 18 to 25 because umm..... the majority of the military is 18-25 yr old men. Second, we get the best training in the world, nothing you can do will ever fully prepare you for war, thats a simple fact. Third, they're dieing for your freedom buddy, sure this war may be unjust, but they didn't sign up to go to iraq, they signed up to defend the counrty.

Those young men and women are heroes. You should be grateful for their services/ sacrifices. Look at all the good they've accomplished. Stop being so against the U.S. military too. These men/ women are defending you and your freedom of speech.

for real they do need more training, but no matter how much training you receive and get, once hit with that bullet their is no turning back, plus most of these guy's and girls signed freely they were ready to take action once they placed their name on that line and placed the uniform on, the least we can do is be proud of those guy's and gals and help them hold their heads high, no one is ready for death yet we all know it will come one day, so would you not want to do something to make the world proud of you, i did and i do.

During the Viet Nam War, we would watch Walter Cronkite, the last real news person, and watch the "Death Tolls". All 55,000 of them...

I know this is meant to be a slam at Bush....But could you ask the Dems. why they wanted it too???

iv been in the army 4 years since i was 19 i knew exactly what i was gettin into theres a contract you sign and they make you read it! there is PLENTY OF TRAINING!!!! and if your not in the military you shouldnt be talking **** about what you know nothing about. so shut the hell up and stop posting your retarded questions.

well speaking for myself and my time in the army, infantry by the way you know the tip of the spear. i was well informed by my drill Sergeants before i ever got out of basic, and ait that i was in a very dangerous mos, and could die doing my job. after ait at my unit we trained all of the time with the reason being so that we would be able to react to any given situation that came up with hope of reducing the chances of us being killed in real combat.
you say that they will never live life to the fullest, who are you to say they didn't when they were alive? that their life was cut short is true, and sad, but to say that they have no idea what they are getting into is false based on my experience.

OK. Infiniti I'm going to give it to you in these terms...You are 22yrs old. You live with your family on a street with your mother,father,sister and grandmother. On your street with you are all your buddys that you grew up with. If your sister came home and said a friend of a friend said that a group of 4 guys from a couple of streets over said that they were going to someday bomb your house like those one guys did from a couple of blocks in the other direction did years ago.
Now, you round up your 30 buddys and attempt to beating the sh*t out of those 4 guys after you kick in their door and chase them around their house but right in the middle your sister calls your cell phone and says " Sorry big bro they werent going to bomb our house but they're creeps any way and they don't live like us and their dad(Hussein) is real cruel so kill him and any one who doesn't want you pillaging and raiding their home!OK? " Sure sis you say and send some more of my high school buddies because this house has alot of rooms. My point? Mis-Information! We were sent for one reason and then it was switch to another. No one would have voted for that war on pretenses of just some cheap ideal. We need to secure OUR borders. Increase OUR education. Help OUR sick and homeless! i agree that it has gone on long enough and if the government is too stupid and pig headed to stop it i believe the people should rebel take over at least until the government agrees to make more mass friendly reforms
