Ok so I have discovered that Fort Living Room is a transition course based on the book by Chazz Pratt. It is a transition course to help you adjust to civilian life, and find a job using your military skills.
So my question is: When did you retire from the Army? Did you go through any course? If so, how long did it last and did it help?
It may be only mandatory for Rangers--I don't know and I won't be able to ask him until he gets back. But just curious as to your experience with transitioning, since no one had heard of Fort Living Room's course before. It just started last summer/fall.

The active duty side of the Army offers various courses on how to build a resume' to help placing it out in the civilian market. Tell your Ranger to take full advantage of the transition course offered by the Army's out processing facility. He will have to make the appointments and keep them he will do all of the leg work. They are good courses and seldom are they taken advantage of. Just becasue your leaving the Army does not mean you sould set your self up for failure by just going through the motions. |
