Its absolutely possible. It always was. The reason the last two attempts failed were because of planning mistakes mainly concentrated around rations and clothing.
It would be one helluva fight though. Although the Russian Army wouldn't be a man-for-man match for US, UK, French or German troops - they have numbers, by God they have numbers. I don't know why anyone would want to try - thank God the Cold War is over. |

False !With todays military, It would certainly be possible. Hard sure but military equipment is much more sophisticated then in the past. |

Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line, and never get involved in a land war in Asia. |

Russia is very cold and unforgiving in the winter. It's not impossible, it's just difficult. With today's military, it's certainly possible. I don't see what the point of invading Russia would be though. They don't have anything. |

Well when the Nazi Germany Army tried back in the 40s most of the maneuvers were on the ground. In those days aerial assaults were not very do-able because radar was pretty primitive. With the on the money computer electronics we have nowadays it would be more do-able but who wants to invade them? they really don't have much of nothing anymore. |

Nowadays with advancements in logistics it might be possible, but it wouldn't be easy. |

Russian winters are notorious. I'd say it's true. It's foolish to think you can deal with Russian winters better than the Russians. Russians also have the luxury of withdrawing a few hundred miles to force you to deal with that much more Russian winter before being able to deal with them. Finally, the Russian military is usually close to, if not at, the cutting edge of military technology. They won't be as big a pushover as the Afghanistan or Iraqi militaries, who were mostly supplied with Russia's outdated surplus. |

Gotta have more explosions!

Possible, but difficult, tricky and costly.
On top of the fact that a lot of modern military equipment won't work as well during frozen conditions, there's also the issues of morale (Russians would probably find it tolerable, most others would not), logistics, rations (most foods will freeze). Oh, and Russia is enormous. |
