U S Military Enlistment "don't hurt me cards"?

Has any one heard of such a thing?

I think you are referring to what are known as "time out cards" or "stress cards." Apparently if a recruit is being too stressed out by a drill sergeant, they can simply pull out the card and he or she has to back off and give them some space.

It is up in the air as to if these really ever existed, but from what I can gather, it was a one time experimental program with a single class many, many, many years ago and the program was abandoned.

I can tell you with absolute certainty that regardless of what might have happened before, these do not exist now.

I've heard of "stress cards." But never met anyone who used them. Honestly, I think it is an urban legend.

EDIT: just read the post below. So, they were a real thing that got scrapped, huh? LOL.

EDIT2: Here is a website that gives a history of these "stress cards" and how they evolved into urban legend.

Yes but it was a testing program on whether or not it was a good idea. I don't think it did because it didn't last. BCT is where you are made or broken, no chicken crap allowed
