Sit tight...call in NGFS (Naval Gunfire Support). I assumed it was a 'beach' as in salt water.

2nd answer would be to send the troops on either end in a cirling maneuver, trying to suppress the MG's with counterfire.

Well...if you have radio communications air/naval support is your best bet.
if not hide if you are in a large squad, plan a tactical counter attack. If you are on your own just jump out, keep moving in various directions and fire wildly at them (use grenades if you can)
