US military training?

How is modern military training like? Is it still rigourous? does the training help build confidence and makes you stronger mentally?

Does the US still have lots of ground fighting capabilities to defeat any adversary?

It is still the toughest thing you will go through in your life. It is not getting much easier. USMC bootcamp hasnt changed. It is just as rigorous as before. The army for some reason is seeming to baby it down a bit with stress cards, but its not much easier. The whole purpose of basic training is mentally. Its to turn you into nothing so that they can build you up into what they want you to be. It will make boys men. It completely changes your life.

Yes the US still has ground fighting capabilities. Right now we are still the strongest military in the World

Recently the US military has had to tone down the training, especially basic and initial training it gives new personnel, because of the high amount of injuries.

Apparently the new generation of young people, who spent the majority of their time behind a computer and/or playing video games has lowered their bone density, making them much more prone to injuries such as stress fractures and other kinds of fractures. Not to mention that the majority of them are severly out of shape.

It's a good thing that the US is the leader in military technology...

ADDED: I wonder if the Israeli Warrior has ever been in the military at all?

The US ground fighting capability is the best in the world. I disagree with the poster who said Israel is the best, bull s**t. The Marines still train very hard and are as capable as at anytime in their history. The MC doesn't change their training because recruits are weak from playing video games, they change the recruit or get rid of him. Want to be a man? Join the USMC
