While our armed forces may have the most equipment necessary to win a global confrontation, we lack the manpower to make full use of what we have and our intelligence service isn't the best in the world as, without information provided to us by SIS (MI6) and Mossad, we would have little knowledge of global activities important to our security.
I would be on the negotiating team as there are many Good Guys to be considered - see link for Agreements and Treaties we have with most of the world. Maintaining peace is more important than winning a battle whether it be on a personal front or in international relations.
You question(s) plus comments are so typically American which is why, although born in USA, I consider myself an "international person" (thanks to the many years I lived overseas).
