Well, we were told it didn't matter when Bill Clinton was running for office. I don't recall Serbia doing anything to us either, especially the people in the Chinese embassy in Belgrade.

Wright was only a Marine for 2 years. The rest of his service was spent in the Navy *4 years*.Oh, and none of it in combat. He was a medic/cardiopulmonary technician.
Regardless of his prior service, he's unpatriotic and hatefilled. He's no different than David Duke or Al Sharpton. Attempting to breed hatred while hiding in the Cloth is just downright low and insulting. He's leading people who are looking for faith down a path based on his own ideals and hatred. George Lincoln Rockwell head of the American Nazi party (assasinated in 1967) was a World War 2 Navy pilot and retired as Lt. Commander. Since he has more time in that makes him greater than all of them.

Just because Rev Wright was in the Military, does NOT make him patriotic. Actions speaks VOLUMES, in this case his sermons to others of G** D*** America. Furthermore, Timothy McVeigh who was the Oklahoma Bomber (now in jail) also served in the Military........he is ALSO NOT PATRIOTIC.

First of all, you are misinformed as to WHY we invaded Iraq to begin with. you violate cease-fire agreements, you're going to be dealt with accordingly.. ask Saddam. read your history.
Secondly, as numerous people have pointed out, everything the illustrious Rev. Wright has done/said SINCE his service has negated any respect he might otherwise deserve.

Patriotism is not defined by military service.

A patriot doesn't suggest terrorist attacks are justified, doesn't suggest ridiculous and idiotic conspiracy theories might be true etc.

Well, military service USED to be a very common part of men's life experience. That's because you had two generations who saw WWII, the Korean War and Vietnam. Also we now have an all volunteer military. Only a very small percentage of adults will every serve. Therefore, military service is diminishing as a criteria for public service.

You have no clue what your talking about. Second what is your source, how many Active years did he serve ? Was he Honorably discharged. There is a lot of things that can effect a person time. Just because he may have put more time in does not make him a good service member, we have a lot of blue falcons(sh*t bag's) that are in for a long time.

Much as I'd like to reinstate the draft, it won't happen. Reverend Wright is doing as Americans have done for the last 222 years; speaking his mind about what he sees. I don't agree with his GD America rant, but if you only listen to the man for 3 minutes, he does have some valid points to make. The fact that Obama was sitting there listening isn't very important. From the little I know about these "fire and brimstone" churches, they are a community as well as a place of worship. So expecting Obama to storm out is absurd in the least. No one could last at this election marathon on hatred alone. Hatred is not enough to sustain a person in the long, lonesome, and hard road to the White House. I feel that anyone that seriously runs for the Presidency does so with the greatest desire to do good. Whether it works out that way.....
