The Waffen-SS weren't that good, honestly. They were fanatics, and got the best equipment, but in practice had officers selected more for political reliability and Aryan heritage than actual military ability.

This changed as the war dragged on, and incompetents either died or were replaced, but in the end I'd give the advantage to the USMC.

The marines are a really small branch of the military. There were not enough Marines in WWII to engage in a large land-based war. The Marines were much more specific in their missions in the 40's. They are part of the Naval Department for a reason. Today Marines light and fast, and they have a lot of air support and even armored units as the SS did in WWII. But I do not think the Marines of yestar-year were built to take France, but they surely kicked *** in the Pacific!!!

I really hope a salty devil dog WWII veteran Marine comes on here and rips you a new one for saying the Army dealt with Germany, and that the Marines did nothing.

And you aren't going to be a Marine Corps officer. You don't know what the future holds... You could be dead tomorrow. For now you're just a tiny civilian.

What they are speaking of when the mention our corps. in the same sentence is that we are incrementally tearing apart posse comitatus.

The corps. is not the same as it used to be. The current corps. is gearing up to be used domestically against public insurrection, due to the international banking system hi-jacking our government and economy. Our armed forces no longer defend out nation they defend the interest of the world banks.

Who benefited from 9-11? Not people that live in caves on the other side of the world.

The defense contractors, the banks that loan that money to these wars.

Pretty much all of you are wrong, except the first guy. Im doing a report right now about them. in the begining the were more political then combat trained, but that charged very soon. Sargent and soldiers slept, trained, and eat together. This was to have a brotherhood between them, like the Marins. they never had the latest and greatest weapons. They had out dated weapons and gear. the only newer thing they had was leaves to go on there helmet for a camo. the SS were tough and deadly group of people. The training was modeled after the SS but the Marins smartly took out the political part.
