The main problem with the US' public image is when a lot of Americans think that the USA IS the world and that everything else is like some kind of 3rd world country backwater. If the US declared war on the rest of the world, THEY would be the bad guys. |

Life is not a John Wayne film. There are very seldom good guys and bad guys. I'd hardly see Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib were the actions taken by good guys - and I don't see how free market, democratic countries with freedom of speech and religion in Europe are bad. Many European countries have been free and democratic for just as long, if not longer, than the US - the US government is even based on the British system of parliamentary democracy; so don't lecture us about freedom.
Besides, nobody would win - nuclear weapons would soon see that almost all life on Earth was utterly wrecked. |

Go to Israel next; plague them with non kosher food....

depends on your point of view.
many actually regard USA as the 'Bad' guys a situation not helped by it's aggressive self serving attitudes when it comes to trade ( likes to bully other countries including UK)
In an actual world war US versus rest of world. overall despite its military capabilities US would ultimately lose by being wiped out against some of rest of world surviving.
ideally I would prefer US to win but its really a no win scenario. |

i'd rather see the world win. If the US were to declare such a war it would be a very stupid idea for one, and it would probably be for a reason that goes against the so-called "commitment" to supporting freedom in the world. It would be amazingly hypocritical. |

OK let think about just the numbers here and not take into account things like, Location of troops, economy, money, supplies and logistics and training.
The USA has 300 million people (give or take), the world population is about 20 billion or 19 billion and 600 million not including the US. The Armed forces of the USA is around 1 million (That included the air force, navy and so on) while the rest of the world would more then likely have ten or fifteen times that number. So the US solider would be out numbered around 10 to 1.
I am sorry to say by just the numbers alone that the US would go down very hard and very very fast. |

No one would win, the u.s has 3000 some odd nukes they produced in the cold war. In the end the u.s would be just as insane as the crazed as the dictator in another country with the "button" in his hand. World destruction would most likely happen before any country could take over the united states of america. |
