Weapons of mass destruction????

NO, they never found them, and they never existed. The bush admin has admitted several times since the invasion that they havnt found any wmd's. they also admitted that the intellegence they "recieved" was faulty and that sources had lied to them (ie. "curveball")

the bush admin has now resorted to re-writing history to justify thier invasion. recently they have sent an fbi agent into the media claiming that saddamn "tricked" us into thinking he had wmd's and that he wanted iran and the world to think he was strong. Bush is trying to make it seem like saddam didnt comply with the UN resolutions or allow inspectors in the country.

The well documented truth is that saddam DID obey the UN resoliutions by disclosing many many times that he did not have wmd's. he DID allow inspectors in to roam freely. BUSH kicked the inspectors out as he started the invasion which was not condoned by the UN.

all of this was highly recorded and reported during the run up of the war. its dispicable that bush is now trying to change history to justify his personal war.

It's dead simple.

When the first US Army tank rolled forward in the battle line towards Iraq, the WMDs were already being loaded onto a ship. This ship shoved off into the Indian Ocean and has not been seen since.

Someone did get a trace on radar claiming a blip was going round in a very large circle for days on end. Then nothing.

Either the WMDs are somewhere out there in the vast expanse of the Indian ocean, or the Iranians have got them.

Yes when we where there when the war first started off we found quite a bit of WMDs, the main reason alot of news channels did not Carrie the story's was because if other foreign country's such as Iran and the terrors groups found out the locations of where they where stored we would have major issues protect our soldiers and the facility's they where guarded in. A lot of it was kept black for good reasons. Everyone thinks that we just showed up one day and the war started. We had soldiers on the ground way before the war so call officially started like all of the past wars we had people on the ground. Trust me we found quite a bit of wmds overseas, the civilians on here love to believe everything that the media tells them, that no wmds where found. If you ask a soldier they will tell you that there was in fact alot of chemical and nuclear materials being made when we arrived there.

Sadaam Hussein acted as though he had something to hide from the world. He enjoyed keeping everyone guessing about his strength and intentions. The west were kept jittery and acted on a hunch rather than on facts. Ofcourse they did not find the kind of destructive weapons people were searching for.. Nevertheless Sadamm was using poisonous gas to kill Kurds en mass. Poison Gas is used for killing masses of people. He had to be stopped. If Poison gas were used over a Town Centre I think it would be classed as a weapon of mass destruction.. Don't You?

It all depends how you define weapons of mass destruction. If it's nukes, then no. If it is chemicals, then yes. No one actually says what they mean by wmd.

In military and government circles (US and beyond), wmds are typically defined as CBRNE (chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive). The latter is high-yield explosive, i.e. something capable of knocking down buildings.

Saddam never said he did not have any wmds, but we know he possessed chemicals because he used them in the 1980s. And, US troops found stockpiles of nerve gas well after the invasion in 2006. Throughout the 1990s Saddam hinted about having nukes presumably to keep Iran at bay, but he did not have a functioning program -- which is what the UN sought evidence of before the invasion.

So, it's up to the individual to define wmds and whether he had them. The bottom line is he did possess weapons capable of killing thousands of people quite easily in one strike, but he did not have the capability to detonate a nuclear or radiological device.

Not only did US believe it, but so did the rest of the entire world. Saddams own generals believed he had them. He set out to make the world believe this because first, he was scared sh!tless of Iran, and secondly, he believed that is what kept Bush1 from coming in and grabbing him the first time around. btw, if Bush1 would have told the UN to go screw themselves, he could have grabbed Saddam, and the world would have been a much better place.

USA 'intelligence' also announced a month or so ago they may have made a mistake about Iran and their nukes, they admitted this programme had ceased 3 years ago as agreed at that time.
A few weeks passed after that announcement with a silence, then guess what? Bush said he wasnt satisfied he wanted absolute proof that the programme had in fact stopped 3 years ago, or sanctions would continue, looks like they cant win.
Its not just USA 'intelligence' the UK also have 'intelligence' which once again agrees with USA ???
If WMD had in fact been found in Iraq it would have made headlines it would have proved that maybe all the lives lost were not lost in vain, why would all this 'intelligence' try to hide that?
