I know a lot of veterans that cherish their families, but could not let themselves be cherished, because of the guilt that they felt or the pictures of memories in their minds.

The love you have for your family and the love they have for you will see you through,and every time they give you hugs I hope you can feel the healing take place in your heart.

First of all, I'm glad you made it back from Iraq and thank you for serving. Of course people care, but the problem is that some people will attack you in the answers section and even out in the world to further their own political agenda. Those who have written negative comments, blame the politicians that voted yes on this war and not the Military member who has put his or her life on the line. Your anger is severely misguided and should be used to protest in the political venue. Enjoy your freedom of speech, but don't forget why you have it and who makes sacrifices for you.

I do. Thank you for defending our country. So many people are forgetting what it is you do over there, but what they don't realize is you are fighting for their right to forget. So again I thank you. My husband is in the ARMY and even though he isn't going to Iraq he is going to Korea and you never know what will happen. So i love you, although not personally, for defending my rights as a U.S. citizen.
