Uh, you betcha. Ever see a picture of them? Ever read about them? Ever consider how harsh it would be to simply be imprisoned? Yeah, the concentration camps were really that bad. Harsh is not an adequate word.

Lets build a bamboo cage.......set it out in a rice paddy..... where the misquitoes, insects, rats and snakes can eat at you.....lets feed you some foreign tasteless gruel......sometimes....... let you be exposed to the monsoon rains and scorching heat..... let you watch as your friends are tortured and killed and wonder if you will be next...... have your skin break out is open puss filled ulsers...... not be able to heal because of a compromised immune system.... have you tortured just for fun...... wonder if your family thinks you are dead......wonder if death could be worse.....we will let you try it for a few weeks......then you tell us what you think.....

Take a visit to the National Holocaust Museum.

I read about the Holocaust in school and I knew from the books that it was terrible. Seeing some of the items in the museum, like the rail car or the bunk beds that they slept in, opened my eyes to how horrible it actually was.
