Were there ever "war brides" as the result of our participation of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan?

There were many war brides as the result of wars in the Pacific and Europe including Korea and Vietnam. Yet I don't hear much about romances between natives and our troops in Iraq. I am positively sure that there were many pretty Iraq girls abound.

Yes, there are. Not to mention several "locals" see a way out of the current situations, and a ticket to the states.
There is probably much talk about it as it's pretty common when you look around many overseas bases.

There have been some but not many. Communication and opportunity being the main reasons. Also the Iraqi bride's family might have a hot time of it when news gets out.

I've not heard of any in Afghanistan though.
