What Changes will I Expect by the time I join?

What changes can I expect in the US Military by the time I join around 2016? A new Combat rifle replacing The M16/M4? Better technology, giving more power to Infantry and units?
Or not much at all... your thoughts?

There is a couple changes coming. Uniforms, PT structure, but remember, we allways get stuff to try, if it works it stays, if not we keep changing. |

In view of the downturn in expenditure and the desire for less military action, I would suggest that it is possible that there will be few changes in the issue of arms.
Technology may be altered by something not yet invented. 7 years is a long time in technology. |
