Speaking as a Navy Veteran, who served aboard three different Amphibious ships that carried Marines into places like Grenada and Beirut, they are great guys. They are honorable, patriotic and decent Men. Proud to have served with them.

As an ex Army grunt, I have nothing but respect for them as well as all the armed forces. We have the same goal of getting home and accomplishing whatever your mission is.

I never regreted joining the Marines, it is hard, the duty stations are not the best, the units are tight and you will remember it for the rest of your life.
Hopefully the advancement methods have improved since I was discharged. The Marines qualified as the slowest service to increase paygrades while I served. But you will respect those ranks much more since they are not given away. If you have to joing a service during a war and you have to fight, The Marines are the way to go.

Hey superbaler, you would want to be brainwashed too if your *** was on the line. I've been out of the Corps for just about 5 years. My 3 best friends from the Corps just left my house after ****-show weekend consisting of trying to drink all of the beer in NYC. Marines share a special bond that no one else in this world could ever possibly fathom (not even other branches of the military). You gain friendships that will last a lifetime. You gain the utmost respect for those that paid the ultimate price in giving us our freedom.

they are the ones who train u for the jobs u will be doing stay out of the army they don't train you worth a damn compared to the marines , the army has become PC crazy stay alive stay away from the army , you may die in the marines but they will have trained you enough to know how to do your job and they do promote the ones who can lead , long time army sgt
