Read the history of the Marines. Run everyday and do push ups and sit ups. Read about the training and the reason for the training. |

Exercise. If possible, exercise while you're exercising. In order to qualify for basic training, a recruit has to be able to complete two pullups and 44 crunches in two minutes or less. And run 1.5 miles in 13:30 minutes or less. Otherwise, you'll be placed in a physical conditioning platoon until you can qualify. |

Run. Alot. Work on your upper body and abs, too, cause they're going to run you ragged.
Get used to getting yelled at for no good reason, or for something that's not your fault.
And most importantly, enjoy the time you have left at home before you head out to Paris Island. |

run a lot. if you have good cardio you can work on the stress once you get there. be confident with your answers. if you did something wrong and can not explain in a 3 second sentence you are going to the dogs. the beauty about marine training is that nothing civilian will prepare you. because in the civilian world the yealling is border line illegal and you could sue for harrassment. |
