ya there are army doctors who r right behind the soldiers during battles (just 1-2 miles away). these doctors (they r officers) have basically field hospitals that are just like normal hospitals for soldiers except they r rite next to the front line

MD's can join the military as officers.

Define "front lines"
It depends on your rotation, you may not go on a combat deployment or get stationed overseas right away.

I know when we deployed (on ships) there were four general doctors, two nurses, one general surgeon, and several dentists - all commissioned officers. That's for a strike group of roughly 5000 sailors and marines.

Your question is a bit confusing. Yes, there are lots of medical jobs in the military. You don't have to be an officer to hold a medical job or to be on the front line. You don't need a specific bachelors degree to be an officer or to commission.

I know a guy who is an Infantry Captain with a BS in History. I know his medic is enlisted and has no college education. He is where he is now with training and a high school diploma. They're both pretty front line.

If you're wanting to finish your bachelors degree before joining there are several ways to do this. ROTC if you have 4 yrs or 2 yrs of college remaining, Direct Commission (after you finish your bachelors degree), and other ways.

You may want to talk with a recruiter and tell them up front that you're gathering information and that you're not ready to make a decision yet and that you're not going to jump into anything you don't fully understand. There are different recruiters for enlisted and officers or at least there are for the Air Force.

Good Luck! :)
