What are some safe/good neighborhoods/apartment complexes near Fort Sill (Lawton), OK?

My boyfriend is in the Army and being stationed at Fort Sill. I am trying to find some possible places to look into but want to make sure they are not in a unsafe area. We are relocating from Ohio with our 2 cats and won't have a real opportunity to look at places prior to moving so any help I can get would be greatly appreciated!

The safest place to live is on the east side of lawton, it is however also the most expensive. We got here a year ago and was renting from a company called sundance rentals, DO NOT rent a house from them they have a very poor reputation, poor customer service and you will not get your deposit back. We bought a house on the south east side and it is so quiet here, i love it. It is actually cheaper to buy a house here then it is to rent one. There are two homes on my street right now that are being rented and the average rent for my area is 1100 a month. Here is a list of rental companies in the area

also there are 2 apartment buildings on the east side but im not sure of their names, when I go out again I will look. But you definetly want to live on the east side of lawton if oyu want to be safe. If you have any more questions feel free to email me at fort_sill_army_wife@yahoo.com
