What are some ways I can get the Air Force Training Ribbon.?

I know Airmen who go through basic automatically get it but I came it through the Army so I don't get it for that. I just really want that Ribbon. I only have four ribbons and I want to get that fifth one. I'm going through Tech school soon but I read online that the criteria for getting the award says that I can't get it for Tech!!! But it doesn't tell me what else I can get it for.

I WAS in the Army. Now I'm in the Air Guard!

You don't qualify for the "welcome aboard" ribbon. Only airmen who complete BMT or an officer training program are authorized to wear it.
However, most if not all of your Army ribbons should be authorized for your AF uniform.

Sorry, you have to serve your time in San Antonio to get that ribbon.

You should already have the ARMY SERVICE RIBBON for completing Army Basic training.

The only way to earn a Air Force Training Ribbon is to complete Basic training or Air Force OTS.

The Flux Capacitor

You can only receive the AF basic military training ribbon if you complete AF BMT. If your in the Army why would you want the AF BMT ribbon?

my bf is at tech school right now and he already has 2 ribbons [one is the national defense ribbon and one is a ribbon for graduating basic] and he told me that he gets one after he graduates security forces tech school. the Air Force get mad ribbons really easily; he just graduated in march and he already has 2. my brother is a Marine and he graduated boot camp in august 2008 and he only has 1, which would be the national defense ribbon.
