What are the chances of being stationed together for Air Force spouses?

I have been thinking about joining the Air Force but my soon to be husband will not approve of it. What are the chances that we will be stationed together me and him are both in the admin. field for our jobs?

they try. they never guarantee. co located is stationed within 50 miles of one another. |

There is never a guarantee that you would both be stationed together, even if you had the same or similar jobs. That said, the military does make efforts to accommodate dual-service, though factors to consider are: whether there are open slots for your job skill and at your rank at any given base, the needs of the military always come first. |

The air force is actually pretty good about stationing spouses together. BUT!- and this is a big but- there will always be times in the military that you will spend time apart. That is the reality. But like I said the air force is pretty good about making your home station together or at least close enough to live together (like in Germany). |

Generally speaking, you stand a better than average chance of getting a joint-spouse assignment. The AF will do what it can to keep you together as much as possible (contingency not withstanding).
Talking to your soon to be husband about you wanting to join is really important. It is a decision you both will have to live with for 4 years on a standard enlistment.
