Specifically, I was in the 101st as an ammo spec and was discharged (honorably) in Dec 2000. What are my weight and physical fitness requirements for entry into the Army reserves in another MOS?

You would have to look it up according to your age. Prior service is allowed to weight a few pounds more (for enlistment). You will have to go back through MEPS and do all the initial paperwork again.

We have a lot of former Army and Marines in the Air Force reserve if you want to consider it.
In the AFR, the only make sure that you're meeting height/weigt requirements since they can't make you do the PT test (in case something happened, they couldn't cover your medical expenses). Once you get in, you'll be tested. Not sure where to find the scales right now, but for my last PT assessment I ran 1.5 miles in 11 and some change, did 48 situps, and 47 pushups, and had a 34.75 inch waist and scored a 84% (I'm not bragging). Passing is 75. |
