If you're not on base, you are pretty much subject to the laws of the state. In some states you can carry openly, in others you can carry concealed with or without a permit, i.e. Alaska and Vermont, and in some states you can only carry concealed, and only if you have a concealed weapon permit. The only restriction that I know of is that you can not work a part time civilian job where you carry a fire arm and be in the active military. Otherwise you have to conform to the state laws of the state of the base that you are at during the time you are carrying a firearm and these of course vary from state to state. So when on leave depending on what state you are on leave in those laws apply. |

Hold them where? You need to be a bit more specific.
In housing (on post quarters) Yes, you can as long as you have them registered with the Provost Marshall's office.
In the barracks? No, you have to keep them in the arms rooms. |

Depends on local laws.....in civilian attire you can carry just like anyone else.....if local laws permit
In uniform .....when you represent the military....NO.....you can only carry weapons as part of your assigned duties and they must be issued weapons not privately owned weapons |

Check the State law where you are stationed. Colorado allows military persons to apply for a concealed carry permit based on their current military firearms training (pistol qualification). Colorado CCW permits are issued by County Sheriffs offices. |
