My criminal record is legit. I havent committed any crime in my whole life and the closes i've been near that is just a fix it ticket , which was already paid for. No drug abuse in my history at all. Like all minors in highschool , i've tried marijuana once and that was it. Never liked it. Credit history might be a problem. My score isnt that low nor is it high but its near the average. I dont have a 10K-15K debt under my name or anything. Will that be a problem? Is having your vehicle or house repo'd effect the security clearance?

Not all minors tried pot in high school.

One time drug use and repo you probably will not get a clearance. It really isn't your score. They are looking at bills that are 30, 60 90 or 120+ that are late. Repos, collections, charge off etc.

Tickets under $250 don't even get reported -- that happens. Not an issue.

One time drug use is not a problem. We had Soldiers with "one time drug use" on his 18th birthday one year earlier and he got an Interim Secret (that means clearance as soon as the paperwork was submitted, before the investigation was even started). Credit history is not much of a problem as long as you are current.

Having a vehicle or house repo'd will be the most serious issue. That shows you did not live up to your obligations. You will need to explain what happened. If you lost your job, had health issues, etc. That is life. They will look at what you did to fix the problem.

I've had co-workers with active TS/SCI file for bankruptcy and still receive a TS/SCI when they came up on the reinvestigation.
