They need to learn what the rest of the world is ike a lot of children over there dont know anyhing we had an exchange student from there who thought dinosaurs still existed.Once they learn the basic stuff they will catch on to peace love unity and respect

Great question! I don't think we'll really know the impact, for years to come though. I cannot even imagine what it's like, seeing death and destruction through those children's eyes. Hard to answer this one. |

"We" aren't teaching them anything. Those of us who have gone there, when we do get any opportunities to interact with Iraqi kids, usually give them water, food, candy, toys, books, blankets, clothes... whatever we can. The poor condition of their country is a result of the poor quality of life Iraqis endured under Saddam and continue to endure under the constant threat of death from random insurgent attacks and specific insurgent death threats of anyone suspected of cooperating with either Americans, or the legitimate Iraqi government. Those of us who are, or have been, physically there, do everything possible to make their lives better, when time allows and a safe opportunity presents itself. The same can be said for adults, for that matter. |

They will only learn peace if the Iraqis step up and police themselves so that American soldiers can step back and eventually leave. |

That Americans aren't the mean, cruel, nasty people that terrorists and liberal Americans claim they are. I've heard more than one account of Iraqi children running toward the American soldiers who offer them whatever they can, including candy if they have it. One soldier is asking kids here to send him beany babies because the Iraqi kids love them and they are small and easy to carry. Strange that Iraqi kids think Americans are better than liberal Americans think they are. |

The destruction in Iraq has been going on for thousands of years. That is all they know is to fight. The children don't know any difference with us there except we are trying to get rid of the corrupt on top in order to teach the people of Iraq DEMOCRACY! Maybe the woman in Iraq won't have their tongues cut out in front of their children once they have a DEMOCRACY. |

I think you have been unduly influenced by the left wing liberal loony main stream media. Schools have been set up. US soldiers make friends with the children, just like they did in past wars. I have heard of reports of children helping the military.
A few years ago, a four year old girl sat by the side of the road when a military convoy approached. She would not move. The convoy was forced to stop. A soldier recognized the girl. He had given her a baby doll a few days before. When he approached her to get her to move, he saw that she was sitting next to an IED. See if you can find that story in the CNN archives. |

As long as "white" American children aren't affected, America could care less of what Iraqi children are thinking.
At least 60,000 Iraqi's have been murdered since this mess began and people have the audacity to get on the internet and say "we're doing THEM a favor."

We are teaching them that Americans are evil people who murder and rape their family members. The Iraqi children will never have peace and will always hate the Americans. My husband is over there and the things he tells me about most of the American soldiers over there is downright disgusting; assaulting people ( children etc) vandalizing, raping children and killing people from boredom. These types of malicious acts are only showing the Iraqi children that we are all murderers and evil humans. |

Don't you get it? Of course we are teaching them how to hate America. Forcing them to accept the false claims by the Islamic fundementalist that America is nothing but the pure enemy of Muslims for no reason and they are the protectors of their lives and religion. Need a prove, just wait until these little kids grow up. Ends will meat when those kids are fresh hungry for the American blood and when the US soldiers have no one to aim at. |
