What beenfits are there for Joining the navy?

In may i'm graduating college with a degree in finance. Id like to enlist in the navy, serve my years and then go out into the private sector? I was wondering how much I would get paid, are there any jobs in the Navy that would give me the experience i need? Do i get to use my vacation time whenever i please?

Well by you having a degree you could go in as a officer. If you do not wish to that is an option as well. If you are curious about how much they will pay you go to the navy website they give you the basic pay for each rank and time in service. http://www.navy.com/benefits/financial/
But overall it depends where you are stationed. where your home of record is. You get paid more depending on the cost of living. Say New York or Idaho there is going to big a huge difference in that. If you are married and have kids that will also add to the pay factor. For the Experience well perhaps you can talk to a recruiter to see exactly what you are looking for in that regards. They also have online recruiters on the navy website. http://www.navy.com/ they can also answer some questions. When it comes to Leave (vacation) you can take it whenever you want. the only problem is it has to be approved by your chain of command first. they only allow a certain percentage to go at a time so if you want a popular time. (christmas) then i would request it a little bit earlier.
