You shouldn't really ask this on yahoo! answers, because people will just tell you to join their 'favorite' branch. You need to look into each branch and find what suits you the best. |

I was in the Navy 6 years of sea duty and never went on a ship. Talk to all the recruiters and listen to you friends and parents. The job you do in the military will determine if you are happy with that branch. SO pick a job that you like to do and find the branch that offers that. |

Im in the process of enlisting in the navy. I chose navy because of the option to choose among the most technical of jobs and education, or im thinking of joining the SEALS, eod, or SWCC. which is by far the most badass special ops in the military. So the way I look at it, I have options at either a great education that could transfer well when im out of the military or Im thinking about just taking it all the way and trying special ops. But overall, I just like what the navy offers. And if your in to travelling, from what ive heard...you will definitely travel in the navy. |

It all depends on what you like the most.
You like to be on your feet on solid Ground? Army and Marines.
You like water, ships, and new technologies? Navy.
You like plane, and far greater technologies that can't be seen in any other branch? Air force.
Talk to all of the branches recruiters. |

if u want to travel the world stay out of action and meet alot of new people i would vote towrds Navy but if i want to stay closer to home go for coast guard |
