What branch of the military is right for me?

I would either like to be a fighter pilot, or an special force of some sort. I know that's probably never going to happen, but I can dream can I not.

If you want to do something in aviation or something in special forces, I would say Marines because they have aircraft and true Spec Ops parts, but to be a fighter pilot in any branch you have to be an officer. You could do they Army and be in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) aka "Night Stalkers", which is a Spec Ops helicopter team. Those are the two branches I think sound most fitting for you. I will give you some links about each idea I posted. |

Air Force is amazing its realy hard to tell you someting mixed between spec ops and pilot if you wanna be spec ops and just want to be in the air then do paratropers |

Fighter pilot, maybe not. You need to be wicked smart. Special forces, yeah you can. of course. But with that attitude you will never get to either of them,.... |

Whether neither is a path you can just dream of and become one. Pilot or Spec Ops requires much much much much more than just simple dreaming. Bust out of your fairy tale world and actually do what you want to do. Particularly the Air Force has phenomenal Fighter pilot and Spec Op's programs. Of course I am biased towards my own branch. Look into each one all branches have pilots of some sort and spec ops programs just don't let anyone say they are the "best" because that is always disputed by someone. |
