1. Cocoa butter is used for both preventing stretch marks and treating them. If the weight gain is due to pregnancy, the cocoa butter should be rubbed daily on the affected area. Cocoa butter should be applied to the skin soon after a warm water bath, when the pores are open and the cocoa butter is easily absorbed. Shea butter may also be used instead of cocoa butter.
2. A mixture of olive oil and herbs or olive oil can be applied daily to the skin to treat stretch marks. Castor oil could be used to make them fade.
3. Vitamin E oil or cream can be applied to the skin in the affected areas, every day . The cream should be applied overnight. Taking Vitamin E capsules also helps to reduce the stretch marks. Some people break the capsules and apply the oil directly on the scars or stretch marks.
6. Brush the skin with a scrub or loofah when you take a bath, to improve circulation
7. Increase the intake of foods containing Vitamin A, E and C like carrots, papayas, tomatoes . Also food rich in essential fatty acids like fish oils will help in growth of skin cells. |

A doctor told me once that vitamin E cream works best. But nothing will make them go away entirely, they can only be faded. |

I have saw adverts for "BIO-OIL" which is good for fading stretch marks and scars, if you live in britain then its available from Boots the chemist, I think that it might also be available from superdrug |

Just so you know (you can look this up online or ask your doctor) stretch marks are 90% hereditary. There is nothing short of surgery that you can do to remove them. Ask any doctor this. |

In my practice I use a lot of essential oils and have help others with your problem, it is a mixture of two oils, Lemon oil and palmarosa. mix 6 drops of lemon oil and 6 drops of palmarosa oil with four ounces of a neutral oil such as massage oil or almond oil with this I prefer grape seed oil. massage the area well. you can add more palmarosa oil if you wish only by drops though. a caution in using lemon oil never apply it directly to the skin, for it is a skin irritant, it also increases photo-sensitivity to the sun so please do not go sun bathing after applying it. Just remember there is nothing out there that will work over night massage and time will do it. you can also use this mixture in a soaking bath which is good for your spirit, mind and body. |

Stretch marks can happen to anyone, regardless of age, due to too much exercise, rapid weight change or pregnancy.
For red-looking stretch marks, Retin-A cream (prescribed by a dermatologist) may give some subtle improvement in reducing the redness by causing blood vessels to constrict. Once the redness fades, the red stretch marks become white stretch marks. Unfortunately, no topical lotion will eliminate the marks completely.
For permanent removal, I recommend a dual laser treatment performed at a dermatologist's office. The combination of lasers stimulates new collagen and elastic fiber growth to fill in where the marks are. After 3 to 5 treatments, with mild bruising and swelling, the marks should significantly improve, if not disappear completely.
The downside: Each treatment costs about $395.
The Upside: A new hot body!
