What can I give my soldier for his birthday?

There are several things that I recommend. You could get him a camelback, black jungle boots, polypropylene underwear, underarmour shirts and underwear, dipping tobacco, a nice multi-tool, a nice knife, waterproof notepads, thick foxriver boot socks, and a neckgaiter. There are so many more choices, but these were a few of my favorites. When I graduated basic and airborne school, I went out and bought a lot of these things. A good store to check out is a place called Ranger Joes. You can either go online to rangerjoes.com, or you can visit the store in Columbus, GA.

i hear army food is pretty bad, so i would bake him something special that won't spoil and can be carried, like fudge or something. and write him a long letter, maybe have other people write also, so when he can't talk to you he can still hear that you love him and why. you could take a picture of his family all together holding a sign that says they love him, blow it up, and have them sign it. whatever he likes i guess. hope it helped :)

My dad is in the navy and we would always send him pictures of what we were doing when we went out and such so he felt intouch. It's kinda hard tho but send him like pictures of you and ur kids If you have any. I know my dad appreciated it so I hope ur soldier all. And when you see him next will you tell him thank you for servin our country- from a kid who cares

His favourite meal (whether its one you cook or a take away from his favourite store) just put it in a cooler (they also keep things warm).

An mp3 player or ipod loaded with his fav songs (and songs that bring back good memories for you guys) and pictures of people (friends family and you two)

Not to sure what kind of "material" gift you could get him. But ( and I don't want to sound like an *** ) after a man gets out of basic there aren't but a few things running through his mind if you catch my drift.
