What country is stronger in military and weapons Iran or Israel?

Israel has nukes and the U.S. backing it up.

In terms of size of armed forces - probably Iran. In terms of nukes - Israel may have as many as 200 of them while Iran has none. However, Israel does not have ballistic missiles and so may have a delivery problem if they want to use them.

Iran probably has superiority overall in conventional forces, and they have been making deals with Russia and China, so they probably have a reasonable level of technology in their weapons.

It is well known that Iran has very recent technology with Russian anti-aircraft and anti-ship missliles. They would not be a pushover like Iraq was.

in fact, they can rival even U.S. too (and that based on facts too)

So no question about it. any middle eastern can see it clearly (they know better about their region)

i gotta say iran they have six times larger army.
Unlike some say they got latest russian fighters and a better airforce than Israel.
technological terms they beat Israel too they got long range balistic missiles and new SAM systems.
Israel only have nuke advantage but iran is making them too and it only take 1 nuke to finish israel while it would take Israel hundreds and israels delivery system isnt good.
And majority of israels soldiers curently are citizen reserves and they have trouble with fighting farmers like hezbollah.
If israel was that good, they would had atked iran a long time ago.
And most of israels items are donated or bought with $$ donated from the US.

Hmmmm. As Ron Paul has said, for decades the U.S. stood up to the Soviet Union that was armed to the teeth with nuclear weapons, but now the administration is trying to get us to tremble in fear because Iran - who has almost no military capacity - doesn't like us. Fearmongering is all it is.

tricky, its impossible to answer as there is goverment military power(which is crumbling) and there are taliban fighters,al quida rebels, there is no definate answer, but on governmant power i will go with Iran as they have been critisied for making nuclear weapons and stuff.

Israel has a more trained military and stronger intelligence. They have contacts planted throughout the middle east but Iran has the support of many of their fellow muslim countries. Israel is like the big giant standing alone being attacked from all sides by a swarm of bees. They have definitely proved themselves over the years though. Today wars are not fought using traditional warfare methods. It's an intelligence war now and fighting off terrrorists and suicide bombers. Although they might have nuclear weapons, that is practically useless except for the intimidation factor. If they ever used a nuke, they would be prosecuted by the world for doing so. They have to always err on the side of caution when flexing their muscles.

Israel has more advanced everything, they received alot of help from the U.S. Technology can overtake man-power for along time. How long is the key question.
As far as running the numbers:
Israel has about 2.4 million FIT for duty aged 17-49.(males + females
Military expenditures are around 9.11 billion estimated in 2003 or around 8.7% of their GDP

Iran: (males only) around 15.6 million 2005 estimate.
expenditure= 4.3 billion USD 2003 estimate or around 3.3% of their GDP

While Iran has a much stronger and advanced navy, Israel has an extremely (EXTREMELY) advanced Air force.
Israel has the USA as an ally and Iran has China and Russia as allies.
It's a hard one but if it would be a war between Iran and Israel only, Israel could nuke Iran off the map.

The real question should be:

"What will happen after the USA and Israel wipe Iran from the map"

Don't doubt it, If and when this war comes, we will face a global nuclear war.
yes boys and girls, If Iran gets attacked (according to rummy, the USA WILL use Tactical Nuclear Bombs Like the B61 on Iran if a war starts) and nuked, you, me and every other 1'st world country will be gone.

Israel has several usable Nukes.

Its would be very easy for anyone on either side to start "flag waving" and say theirs is bigger and better

Iran obviously has on paper a much larger armed forces both in weaponary and firepower. but being on paper things are not always what they seem.

Iran has aquired a lot of Russian technology but not the best russian technology, for instance Russia is not selling Iran the Mig 35, There most modern aircraft is the Mig 29 (Fulcrum) with modifications, also there forces are supplemented by aircraft as old as the F4 Phantom and Mirage 1.

Tank wise there latest development the Zulfiqar is a combination of M60 M48 and T-72, so although new is has the failures of still being outdated with no reactionary armour etc, Iran still uses many other tanks but these include the obselete chieftan, In its day arguably the best tank in the world but that day was over 25 years ago.

There is a little publicied struggle going on in Iran at the moment where the regular armed forces are receiving the poorest of equipment that in many cases does not even function and the best equipment being supplied to the Revoloutionary guard.

Isreal has opted for the modern military methodology, Having the best available equipment regardless if it curtails their numbers. Every inf soldier in the IDF has night vision equipment, In Iran only commmanders have that. Isreali fighters can out fly out shoot out manouvre anything that Iran can put into the air.

Isreali tanks have reactionary armour, larger barrels, more accurate sights and built in night vision ect, These things which are seen as standard on Isreali and western equipment is only available in the minority of Iranian equipment.

Large armies badly equipped do not win wars, Iraq has shown that, No-one can really question the bravery of the Iraqi troops but can question the equipment they had.

One example of a large army fairing poorly against a much smaller army but well trained is Finland when the then Soviet Union decided to invade.

So in essence I would have to say Isreal is the much stronger military
