so i took a physical exam today for the Marines and i forgot about a surgery i had when i was really really little to fix a hernia, and i didnt tell them about it, my mom just asked me if that would be a problem, i know they they do a FBI background check and if they find something you didnt tell them the punishment could be harsh, what do i do?

Talk to your recruiter.he will advise you on what to do and what to say.Listen to all the advice and everything your recruiter tells you. Remember, the recruiters main objective is to get you into the USMC. MEPS main objective, is too find anything from you that will disqualify you. if he says not to tell them you don't, because you might not be able to join thus him failing at his main objective. He knows what he is doing. Many times they will say its ok to disclose information but when it is a very minor issue.you Must Always Trust and Believe in your recruiter.
you should tell your recruiter because he can stop you from getting into this mess and receiving a permanent Disqualification. Before you go tell MEPS anything, tell Everything first to your recruiter and he may assist in taking care of it first by trying to get you a waiver of some sort. if you go in and just tell MEPS they may just disqualify you on the spot. Remember, don't forget to tell your recruiter Everything and always Trust your recruiter. He wants you to progress and become America's Finest,

Call your recruiter in the morning and advise him of the situation. That way he can advise the MEPS personnel. |

I would call or email them asap saying that u had surgery awhile back... This is very important to tell them or u will not get accepted into the marines. GOODLUCK! |
