It's a story we should all take notice of. |

They probably stole the idea of pre-emptive military strikes from America. Bush should sue them. |

You sound surprised. Thats why I keep saying Americans have been brainwashed. GWB and his cronies have been saying the same thing since 2001 so have the British govt and the French. So whats the story? |

Old news mate. Spent 15 years in HM Forces with that sort of sh!t hanging over us during the cold war.
Didn't bother me then. Doesn't bother me now. |

I believe Putins Russia to be an equal threat to the West as Islam. The man has been flexing his political muscles for a while now, we need to keep watching developments there. |

Couldn't care less. Russia is simply sabre rattling.
Although I do wonder for what purpose the US is proposing to build a missile shield in Eastern Europe for? Isn't it a little bit daft to put defensive systems in an area that would be the among the first to get overrun if the Russians decided to get serious?
Whatever the intention was is irrelevant. The fact is that it's intimidated Russia, and Russia is responding.
I'm not even slightly concerned about Russia. It's a huge country with vast resources that it needs to sell to stay afloat, so it's not going to shoot it's market down, now is it? |

Not a lot. It is a bit of a worry, but then Russia has a new confidence and is just flexing a bit of muscle. I think the words will prove tougher than the actions. Russia needs the west now through trade and it wouldn't jeapordise that.
Don't forget, the only country to have ever used a nuclear bomb (twice) is America.. |

Britain should thank America because if they didn't fund the IRA for 35 years, we wouldn't know what terrorism is.
We made peace with them, now you put this lot on our doorstep-thanks America! |

"Sabre-rattling!".
Putin is "sending out messages"
What you do is get some General to stand up and make threatening noises.
The Russians are experts at doing this. At one time, during the Cold War,there were "Kremlinologists" in London and Washington who would analyse all this crep!
They would say :"Ah,yes. I see that when the May-Day Parade marched past their machine guns were 3 degrees lower than last year!
This is a definite indication of peaceful intentions!!
That friggin' half-wit Brown thinks he can "talk to the Russkis"!
That's why the Uk is having people arrested in Moscow.
The Russians only understand ONE thing: The Boot in the Face! |

Why all the fuss? Does it really matter who presses the button. Me-thinks not, as nobody will be around to care!! Sleep safe all. |

So what....Nothing has changed. This only reiterates what has been Russian policy ever since the stole the N Bomb secrets. |

Potentially scary, but maybe if there were fewer sabre rattling yahoos in Washington and throughout the nation it might never have been thought about. Manifest Destiny is something that no one has. |
