What do people think of this decal on a vehicle saying about the Iraq war?

A yellow decal on a vehicle that read " Honk if you feel my son died for nothing in Iraq". The mother says as she drives down the road it sounds like New York city at noon time.

I may not like it and you do not like it but we (if you are a vet or enlisted) signed up to protect her freedom of speech. Just don't honk. This woman may be experiencing profound grief and this is the way that she chooses to deal with it. Remember that she lost her child - no matter how old he was, he was her baby. Dealing with the lose of a child can cause people to do things that they would not normally do. Respect the sacrifice that her son made to protect her freedoms, irregardless of how she is choosing to use them.

Unless you have been to Iraq, you have no idea how the U.S. has helped this country by taking Saddam out of office. Would you enjoy living in a town that has no schools, no hospitals, no gas, corrupt officials and cops.

Now that the United States has taken control of the country, towns have hospitals. Children have schools that they can attend and receive an education.

The best part is that the majority of the construction of new buildings, offices, etc. was overseen by the military but performed by local Iraqis. Thus, we have also provided thousands to tens of thousands of jobs.

While you may not feel that we should have been there, interfered, or however you want to say it. There are millions of Iraqi people who would tell you that their lives were either saved or greatly improved by the actions of the United States.

honestly, that's upsetting.

She should honor the memory of her child not go around saying "he died for nothing".

It's disgusting.

Go back in your hole Troll (Erudite).
You saw no such bomber sticker, its all in your tiny little mind.

i think it is sad that she is putting a liberal agenda before her son.

I too would honk. To this day I still do not understand why we ever re-entered that country. I could go on and on about reasons why we should have never went to Iraq or at least I have a lot of questions that no one can truely answer on that subject.

She'd be hearing my "Beep!"
I served 'over there' and felt then, and now, that the war in Iraq is totally unjustified (for many reasons) and has served to divide this country and taken away from what should have always been our focus - Afghanistan, the Taliban, and al quaeda.

country girl
i kinda agree
but i probably wouldnt honk

dsan
I don't blame her

or the ones who honk

what does a soldier who swears an oath to defend the constitution die for when his commander in chief orders him to his death while tearing that same constitution down?

I would honk.
I never agreed with the war, never have and never will. I have a brother who fought in it, an ex husband and a cousin who are fighting it now. I support their decision but I do not support what they are fighting for.

People seem to forget this war was not FOR 9/11, it was for weapons of mass destruction, and they were never found.
