What do soldiers wear in bed?

If you're OCS (Officer Candidate School), you will go through basic with the enlisted. You don't get dorm room's or any type of civilian clothing. The rooms are "Bays" which are open rooms to hold about 40 people (20 bunk beds) and you sleep in you PT uniform.

You will wear a smoking jacket and slippers and you will sleep in a queen sized bed on satin sheets.

Who cares? In Iraq you'll sleep in pt's or acus and you'll be trying to block out the mortar rounds.

Uniformity amongst services and within services dictates you wear what you're issued.

It's also likely that you'll be dormed with a couple of other candidates not like enlisted where they generally ship/store us in packs of 50 :)

Depends on the weather.You probably have to do without Air conditioning or heating and also sleep in twos if not a dorm.

In today's army you will probably have a room which you may have to share with another,not like the old days when you slept in a barracks with 30 or more men in bunk beds, but as an officer, you will be given more privacy, so you can sleep any way you desire.

in phase 1 traning u will share a room with up to 14 males, then after you will go to ur plce of trainin then you will have to share a room with up to 6 males but you can get your own flat nect to your base but u will have to pay 4 it your self

In the British Army, you do not get given anything to sleep in. Also, in training, you will live in a dorm room beacuse it promotes team work when living close to people.

Why anyone bothers to answer questions such as this, I do not know.

The very wording of your question tells me that you are not actually joining the Army, you are merely contemplating such action.

I think you are just a dreamer who has no idea of what joining an army, ANY army, really entails.

If you really want an answer, here it is: you can wear anything you like in bed in barracks, but god help you if you wear a pink bunny rabbit suit.

Better leave the PJs at home. A t-shirt and shorts will do. Are you sure the Army is for you? You don't seem like the type. I have seen a lot of butter bars go down the tube real fast. I think that if you actually get in, you are going to have one hell of a wake up call and you're not gonna like it.

In training soldiers wear their PT shorts and top too bed. Once your out of training you wear what you want. Although as a officer you will probably only have 1 roommate thru training. Your own room once training is completed in the BOQ.

You will wear whatever you like in bed, but most guys wear shorts and T- shirt.

I am surprised you are going in as a lieutenant, it's more usual to go in as a 2nd lieutenant

While in your initial entry training you'll mainly wear PT's to bed. So when you wake all you need to do is brush, flush, and shave (if male). After this training you can wear or not wear whatever you like. During your training time you will be in a bay with many others not your own room.
