Leading by example? What a novel idea, lol... a shame we don't have politicians kids in the US with balls the size of Prince Harry's!
He's the $hit in my book! |

I have alot of respect for him. I mean the royal family have done some good things in their time ( not to talk of the not so good). But this is way up their at the top ten. He truely is the son of his mother and it just shows.......the royal family isnt all bad. |

I respect him immensly. He went and fought like a normal man and when he was forced to come home, and he wanted to go back with his friends and comrades I began to respect him even more.
Also, when he said that he didn't deserve to be called a hero but those that are still fighting do he gained even more respect.
He is an honourable man and I would fight beside him any time. |

I am pleased to say that I have served my King and country already, if required I would do it again. I think that Harry has done the right thing and to lead his subjects if need be into battle. Obviously I know we don't want him riding into battle on a horse, but if he is to be our leader he should take the same risks. We must respect our leader, we must respect our Royal family, I will say one thing more, if you don't get out of our country. For once Eric has spoken. |

As a serving member of the armed forces he is liable for postings to war zones as any other.
However, as a prime target, this should be done in such a manner as not to put either him or his fellow soldiers at an increase risk. |

i think that it is cool, too bad he got exposed and had to be pulled out, he seemed to like being like a regular person, instead of acting like a spoiled brat, props to him, i respect him for that |

Good for him, I think anyone who serves on the front line is very brave! |

i am totally bemused by it all, when you join the army you join it to defend your country, if the royals knew that he could not or should not go to war then he should not have been allowed to join, it's much like being a 'conchy' in the last war, trying to join up but then saying "oh, by the way, i can't fight", Prince Harry joined the army after these recent conflicts started so it's not an excuse to say " i didn't know". Having said all of this i have the utmost and total respect for the man as clearly he fought long and hard to get out there and do his bit, but in future can we use a little common sense and not allow our royals to join the armed forces if this is going to be the result. |

yeah i respect him for it know doubt he decided to go as he probably has the choice however i have more respect for anyone who joins the army as they have little say in where they want to go. |

Well at least the lad's doing something decent and worthy, lower than a worms tit most of the others who do naffin. May consider joining the Military later this year. |

yeh he could be wrapped in cotton wool (literally) just goes to show that he doesn't think of himself any better than anyone else and that he's not scared to serve his country! i'm not a fan of the royal family but good on Harry! |
|

I can see both sides of it. I can see why people have been annoyed with the Royal family taking him away from it. After all, he's a normal guy who lives in this country and why should he not fight when other men are giving up their lives? I can see why they have though because if the Iraqi's were to take him hostage, he could be a usefull asset to them. |

every time this question has come up the crazies come out to play,i have said all i have to say on the subject of prince harry and it was all positive, fair play to the boy, when a notable American politicians son decides to enlist then maybe we in the UK can have a rant at him(likes that going to happen),i would also point out that prince harry is not the first royal to go to war,in fact we have a lot of history in that department or was that all staged as well, the following contributors to this question =CASEYMITCHUM2000,SCOTTIE,EM,MRS g ,HOOMAN and finally H.H.who it is said is a top contributor(in what i have no idea) have had no positive input and unlike our royals prefer to fight their war from the comfort of an armchair and use their keyboards as a sandbag, give it a rest boys and leave our royals alone, when it comes to being in the front line then they have stood their watch, have you? |

i admire him. how many of the politicians who support this war have members of their own family out there? Is Tony Bliars son doing his bit? Not bloody likely. |

I am not going to give my opinion - instead I'll give that of my son, 2 tours Iraq & 2 in Afghanistan under his belt and just back from his last tour.

I feel sorry for the SUN camera man that has been stood next to him for weeks taking all the "action" photo's. I'm sure he would not have had body armour and 50 armed guards to ensure he does not get kidnapped. |

Tons of respect. Bush would **** if he had to do half of what Prince Harry is doing. |

I don't think very much of it only its an insult to the men who are out there for a tour of duty and are involved in the fighting
Its so obvious Harry had plenty of protection and because of a leak he came home to safety, wonder why all the other guys didn't come with him. think about it |

We knew this before, but the point was proven again. |

I think to be a good leader, you have to have experience. I wish our president was that brave. I wonder if he would have been so eager for war if he had ever been in one. |
