What do you guys think about people that protest at soldier's funerals?

I don't like it. I feel it is in bad taste and there are better, more appropriate places to hold such protests.

That being said, it is not illegal in most places and therefore within the rights of the protesters.

I'd like to see them try and conduct such a protest at a funeral on a military installation.

I think it is very disrespectful and simply cruel, They fought and died for you and I. So if your not going to be thankful for what he or she did SHUT UP and leave the USA, If you are not going to be thankful for what that person did for you so that you could live your little life out in this country, then you do not deserve this great country and its freedoms. How would you like to have people protest at your best friendâ€™s funeral? Think about it.

Totally disrespectful! Even if a person has an issue with military or what the military is involved in, a funeral is NOT the place to protest. A family already has enough to deal with. They are burying a loved one and they should have the respect of being able to do so without any outside interference.

No reasonable person, and no real Christian, could possibly go along with what those people did. I was aghast to see kids at the protest too. I think that teaching a child to hate is the most evil thing anyone can do.

i think that they are a disgrace to this country and are an example of how the 1st amendment right to assemble can be abused. there are many ways to protest the war which i do not agree with, but this is just disgusting. let me tell you if it was a funeral for one of my buddies, or somone in my family. those people protesting wouldnt be there for very long, in fact theyd prolly be dead and id be arrested.

I am from a military family. I am ex-USAF, my husband is USAF, my grand dad was a devil dog, my step dad was a Navy man, my Father-in-law is ex-Army.

I don't speak for all people in/of the military, but if any sob disrespected any family member of mine in such a way, he/she had better be able to outrun me. People who do that are scum. They deserve to live their lives without the protection of our armed forces, and in fear of people like me.

I think its a total show of disrespect to the family. Weather you support the war or not, that person gave thier life to ensure America can keep the same values and freedoms we hold true. The dead should be honored.

we shouldn't drag politics and policy into a ceremony honoring a fallen warrior fighting and dying out there for us, it's unAmerican to protest at funerals as if it's the soldier's fault. same thing after Vietnam, hippies should never have spat in returning vets' faces, especially after all the horrors they'd been through. i think those protestors should be punished, or at least publicly decried. if you have a problem with the war (like i do), take it to the top (the government) (like i do)!

i am in the middle on this, the family should be aware that this war that took their soldiers life was not for defending americas freedom or any other noble cause

it was fought over greed and these people that are too asleep to see it should be told, explained too ..... the true purpose of the war

but i do think it is distasteful and would shun it
