If you want them to pay for college you need to do NROTC.
Your best bet as far as what is required and if you SAT scores matter is to go talk to an OSO, they may not be much help since you're still in high school. |

Forget what the other guy said about SAT scores. Those scores only matter for acceptance to college. If you can't get into a 4 year college, go to a community college, kick some ***, and then get in. Do not be discouraged if you see others go to a 4 year and you are not. It doesn't matter where you start, it matters where you finish.
Generally speaking, you need a college degree (or close to one, for example apply in your 3rd year like in the Army), physically capable (nothing that disqualifies you unless you can get a waiver), and nothing terrible in your past. So focus hard on not making that big mistake that keeps you from serving. It happens all the time. Don't let that be you.

Graduate college, get accepted to OCS.
If you want the Marines to pay for school you need to apply for and reieve a Naval scholarship.
Low scores on the SAT will definitely matter. |
