What do you think about the war on terrorism?

Terrorism has a long history in many countries, however it is only since America itself was attacked in such a dramatic fashion that there has actually been a 'War on Terror'.

In places such as London, there is a history of terrorism dating back centuries, and the same is true in other European Countries.

However ordinary Americans have been largely unconcerned with terrorism, as it was something that occurred elsewhere.

The 7/7 Attacks on London Underground were by no means the first such attacks, indeed in 1885 a bomb exploded on a Metropolitan Line train at Gower Street (now Euston Square) station, whilst in 1897 Aldersgate Tube Station was bombed by a Russian Anarchist group leaving 60 people injured, ten seriously and one fatality.

Groups such as the IRA bombed London for Decades, whilst at the same time US judicial system protected IRA Terrorists such as Desmond Mackin, Peter McMullen and Liam Quinn from extradition to Britain to face charges of terrorist atrocities.

Noraid raised funds for the IRA's terrorist campaign openly and perfectly legally within the United States, indeed it wasn't until the events of 9/11 that Noraid's Terrorist Fund raising activities became illegal, as the American people finally realised the true horror of terrorism. Until 9/11 turning a blind eye to accusations of terror was politically acceptable in the US, as long as it wasn't happening inside the US.

I also doubt many Americans were even aware or can recall the 1994 car bomb which exploded outside the Israeli embassy in London, injuring 20 people. The car was packed with 20 to 30 pounds of explosives, and blew up minutes after the driver left it. Such events being a long way from America and to Americans 'The War on Terror' is a rather recent event.

The So Called New 'War on Terror is all the more amusing when you examine the history of terrorism., which is by no means a new phenomenon.

Sorry but I didn't look at the video.

People still ask when or if the third world war will start. This global war on terrorism is WW3. This problem will not go away on its own. That's what I think

It certainly explains you correctly. As the American Gestapo hasn't arrived to kill you out of hand can you honestly believe there is a huge conspiracy? Never mind, of course you can. Try reading something other than a conspiracy site.

Terrorism was created to enact the Patriot Act and that is all it was to it.
The US was not attacked, it was the WORLD.
Everything that was hit represented the
world.
Don't you think if they wanted to kill people of the US, they would have hit the super bowl?
