I take it you have been misguided by Noam Chomsky's 'Perpetual War For Perpetual Peace'. Whilst it is true that the best way to keep a peoples under control and in fear of their life is to keep inventing new terror threats (check out Orwell's 1984 for a perfect example), this does not appear to be the case over the incidents from the last few days.
Our invasion of Iraq may well have contributed to the planning and poor execution of these car bombs, but a combination of solid intelligence, close scrutiny and a massive dash of luck managed to stop at least one major atrocity.
I can understand your argument but, in this case, look at the facts please before jumping to your own biased and uninformed conclusions. |
