Airplanes. If you take a look at maps or aerial photos, you'll see that the most notable traits of Area 51 are the remoteness of the facility and the very long runways. Groom Lake is an air base. They've been using the lakebed and airfield for secret aircraft testing. If there are flying saucers, alien spacecraft, or anything similiar, those things would not be kept there. The military would house those things somewhere else and let everyone else keep on believing it's at Area 51. The F-117, B2, SR-71, U2, and every other black aviation project in American history called Groom Lake home before they went public. In short, they have aircraft hidden there. Aliens and things are possible, i guess, but very, very unlikely. The runways were extended relatively recently and there is more and more talk about hypersonic aircraft. I'd bet on that. In fact, the highest likelyhood is that Area 51 is one base for spaceplane research or operations. Area 51 houses the next big surprise. Maybe it's "Aurora", maybe it's something else. All I'm certain of is that it's definitely not quite so crazy as people want to think. |

It is a classified scientific area and if you really found out what was there and were not Authorized you'd be in a military facility for the rest of your life.

I have no idea what is at Area 51 nor do I really care. I'm sure that's where they do lots of testing of new aircrafts, weapons and other things that they don't want falling into the wrong hands. |

probley nothing...why?? because if you wanted to get all the nut jobs and spys in one place then pick somewere remote and let them have fun. there probely fighting secret planes out of JFK in NYC because its out it the open and no one would think of secret planes flying out of there. |

Just look up Area 51 in Google Earth, you can see where the spaceships landed, you can also find the black mailbox along the extraterrestrial highway to the north of the base. |
