Al Quaeda will re organize and terrorize Iraq and when they raise enough funds they will come after USA again. The only way to keep USA safe is to keep Al Quaeda busy fighting us in their own countries. Keep them on the defensive. Nothing good could come from leaving Iraq early before are job is done. |

It may be possible that Iraq's military and police will be sufficiently prepared to defend their country against the Islamists, but far from a sure thing. It is still possible that, once US troops no longer defend the Iraqis, the Islamists would step up their efforts again.
We would be in violation of Geneva Convention requiring that we maintain security forces there until the Iraqi government is prepared to take over that role.
For sure, we would be sending the Islamists the message that they can beat us through simple persistence - and should expect them to try more of the same in the future as their global Jihad spreads. |

the "We" side is the only ones that would stop. The other side would ramp up, build up and the "We" would be in big trouble in only a matter of time. Maybe the best question should be, who are we at war with. and if we stopped, would they? |

We'll get attacked again. It's either stay there and end terrorism or leave and have the war come over here. Take your pick, Liberals. |

The entire region will go to Sh*t. You may think it their already, just imagine the region where Israel feels it stands on its own, with no other stabilizing presence. |

Some crazy-assed militant Islamic sect will take over Iraq and start terrorizing its neighbors in the Middle East...which was the ONLY possible outcome of removing Saddam Houssein in the first place. This is pretty much guaranteed to happen, whether we pull out now or wait ten years until we are completely bankrupt. |

The war is essentially over in Iraq, theres been a major decline in any military activity incl. thankfully coalition troop deaths. The hot spots now seem to be in Afghan and now Pakistan. The Al Qaida operatives have long abandoned Iraq, its been reported on certain news outlets. |

There would be an internal struggle in the middle east until powers could be re-established. I would also recommend when we bring the troops home, we take those soldiers and beef up our internal security and our boarders. Bush has really ticked some people off an now we are going to have to cover our butts big time. |

nothing. we'd still be there for months and it wouldn't change much to the hassle of trying to bring everyone back while still repairing what we have brought damage to. |

This country would find some other conflict to but in on. That we don't belong in. |
