hmm? how does it help you to know you died for "freedom" when you wont be experiencing anything short of pain and death? plus while your in combat thinking of your wife, and kids whom you'll never see again, instead of mourning your death, she is already doing it with the neighbor and doesnt even care. how is it legal for her to live and be a tramp and life a full life just because she's a girl, while you get to have your life cut short just because your a man. think of ww2 and how many MEN died in the war, and how many women must've cheated after a while. and dont even say the women die in combat, BS then never have died in combat since the dawn of mankind, they have barely died in war at all. ex. if 1000000 men died maybe 10 women did also. anyway, the point is, women should have to fight and die like men or be made to produce children. if they cant contribute one way, make them contribute another. i just hate how women cant give a damn about war while all the men go off and die so they can live! ridiculus. im dying so you can go love some other man when im dead, what happened to love? hmm? i guess u love me when im there and not forever. even though ill be dead forever you still cant love me forever. society is so messed up!

You simply do not understand the meaning of patriotism. Yes i wont be able to enjoy the freedom but people like us do it for more than selfish reason. We do it for our families loved ones and friends. Its not just the ones back home but also our buddies on the battlefield. Those men and women fighting with your are no just some person you familiar with. They are more like part of your family. You would do anything to make sure they get back and enjoy it even if it means you don't. We do it for our nation for all American in my case to enjoy. We do it for our flag and what it represents. My red stands for the blood that was shed for the freedom which represents hardiness and valor. White represents purity and innocence.Blue represents vigilance, perseverance, and justice .You do it because you swore an oath to uphold. I guess they don't teach these things anymore. Loving ones Country is as powerful as loving ones wife or parents. At least to me i love my nation just as much as i love my parents, brothers, wife and children. I would gladly die for the citizens of my nation like so many of my family members have done in every war this nations has been involved in. Its not that i want to die but if my time comes then its my time. If i am going to die let it be for something i love and cherish like i feel towards my nation rather than a meaningless death for nothing. I myself am a veteran and watched alot fo my friends die for all of the people of this great nation. I hope your not an American. |

Hey man I really am sorry your wife cheated and you needed to come on here and vent. It happens. You're better than that and she will realize it one day. Good Luck. |

I'd rather die for others than to live for others
also, by people dying for freedom, you are allowed to say what you just posted without being shot |

to understand you have to love your country. its not the death that protects your country and defends it but its the fact that you fought for it. if you die in the service of your country than you can rest easy knowing that you died in the service of a cause. that cause is totally up to you. mine is going to be my family. and as for your wife or girlfriend loving someone after your dead true love is wanting whats best for the other person even if its not what you want. therefore if you really want a girl to be happy when you die and if you ever really did love you than you'd want them to get married and what not. if you two were ever really in love than she will always have a special place in her heart for you that no one else would ever be able to fill |

I’m one of these people who believe that there times when countries do the right thing.
For example we may have made mistakes but destroy the NAZI regime under Hitler was the right thing to do and people died doing it. I think fighting the Civil was the right thing to do and people dies doing it. I think fighting the king of France for the purpose of remaining independent was the right thing to do and people died doing it. I think going into Afghanistan after the Taliban and Osama Bin Laden was the right thing to do and people have died doing it. I think going into Iraq to foster a regime change wasn’t the right thing to do but those people who’ve died doing it deserve to be honored.
That honor isn’t about the politics of this war, the application of it or the exploitation of it. It’s about doing what you’re paid to do with honor and they deserve that. Would I rather they hadn’t died for a war that is so ambiguous and cleverly crafted from political mistakes of the past ? Absolutely.
There is a history unique to this country that is about fighting for our freedom. That history has been exploited by some for political gain and to foster sentiment for wars that have nothing to do with our freedoms. In fact it goes so far as to strip us of our freedoms while promising to protect them. That does not dismiss our history, flawed but unique in the respect that we are country that had our civil war and emerged with out border still intact. We don’t agree as to the merit of that reality but it is our reality birthed from dominating cultures like any other nation we took. In that taking we challenged the fabric of our nation and emerged a nation in territory if not in ideology. We owe no one an apology for that but we need to stop using that great part of our history to justify committing ourselves to some of our worst wars.
There are wars we should fight but instead we are easily provoked to fight wars that feed our worst intentions, those are wars that waste lives. The World War II generation is passing away and that is the last generation that we as a nation fought a war with a clear objective and clear evil, now we fight shadows linked to sweeping ideologies.
Would you risk your life to save a child in the street our argue the risk isn’t worth the gain ? Would you give a kidney to save a brother our argue the risk of infection isn’t worth the risk ? Would you fight to save Darfur or argue that while exploitation on a international level is bad it’s not worth dying to stop it ?
Many of you love Jesus suppose he decided on the day that being dead wasn’t worth considering the possibilities ? If dead is dead then Jesus must have wasted his time and he’s just dead.
If we fought wars with authentic intents then being dead would be worth it but we are such a pop culture, trigger happy, information happy country that none of that matters. We just need someone to wind us up define the treat and point us toward the target. We are humans being military drones all we need or coordinates and an executive mandate making it illegal to show our coffins. |

holy crap where do i even start with you you piece of crap...i hope that you do not call yourself an american. for one it would not be dying for that persons freedom it is for your freedom and everyone else in this great country we have the honor to live in. You make me sick...i have seen some of my best friends shot by those terrorist over there. For your sake i hope you don't live in a Marine filled town cause i know if My Marines and Me heard you say a bunch of BS like that to our faces you would be dead before you could count to 3...and if you do live in a town with alot of Marines you should kill yourself to save our troops the energy so they can do something more productive with their time. |
