Best evidence is that he killed himself in his bunker, then his body and that of Eva Braun (who had married him a day or two before) were doused with gasoline and set on fire. Evidently skull fragments survive in a KGB museum in Moscow. They identified the body with dental records, so it seems pretty sure its Hitler.
